September 30 Tour information
Participants can choose to tour SLAC or LBNL, not both. Transportation to either site is not provided (although it's easy to get to LBNL by BART: contact llrf13@lists.lbl.gov for a guest pass that's needed to ride the Lab Shuttle).
SLAC tours start by meeting at 8:45 AM at the Kavli Auditorium (just to the right across the road inside the SLAC gate). You may inquire at the gate for directions. There will be significant walking involved in the tours, though a bus will transport us between the more distant sites.

The tour will end at about 12:30, to leave time for people to eat lunch (note that the SLAC cafteria is closed for renovation), use car pools, and arrive at Granlibakken in time for dinner.
LBNL tours will start at about 10:00, and include:
- ALS - Advanced Light Source - including access to the accelerator tunnel
- L'OASIS - laser wakefield acceleration program including the BELLA PW laser system
- Timing and Synchronization lab
- Time reserved for lunch at the LBNL cafeteria
Car pools for people planning to eat dinner at Granlibakken should leave LBNL at about 14:30.
The previously imagined charter bus between the Bay Area and Granlibakken has been cancelled due to lack of interest. If you planned to use this service and don't have obvious access to a car pool, please contact the organizers ASAP so we can make sure you have adequate transportation.
